240_F_74235017_tAC7St0C8pWDs3bPBzVHK6UVS4QpG9szIt’s the season of fun festivity. As well as enjoying the festive season it is important to remember to keep your personal brand on track. Take a look at these tips to keep yourself nice during the party season.

It’s a time to celebrate

You can’t avoid the season so keep the festive spirit alive and enjoy some Christmas cheer. There will be celebrations with work colleagues, family and friends. Happy snaps and selfies will be shot in abundance – post those that are positive – delete those that give a negative impression of who you are.

 Online presence

No matter how organised you are you can’t control everything. You can control your own Facebook and Instagram pages. Keep your social media presence clean and fun, ask your friends to remove any photos that give you a negative perception, especially if you are planning on searching for a new job in the New Year.

 Which event to attend?

Work functions over the festive season can be a great time to network and meet up with people in the same industry. Prioritise your events. Work out which events will be the most beneficial to build your network. Use the opportunity to connect with potential colleagues and future employers.

 One thing at a time

You might think it’s just throughout the festive season that you are over doing it, trying to do too many things at once, fitting everyone in before Christmas. You’ll become exhausted and lose focus on your job and your personal brand. Try to get in the habit selecting a task and completing it to a high standard. If you have too much on your plate you are likely to not get the best outcome.

 Be authentic

It is a busy time for everyone during the festive season. It is worth being flexible with people so they stay calm and collected. Flexibility is the key to success at this time of year – keep calm and be authentic.

The holiday season is a time for fun and festivities so make sure you have a blast and keep your personal brand on track for 2016!
